Ok you see all these people rocking out these SIR and TypeR badges. Well I am doing a mini-me swap with turbo. I was thinking about putting a SI-T sticker on. What do you guys think?

well if you had a SI motor and turbo then its okie i think but being it won't be a real SI anymore nah i say avoid it

HEH.. I don't often use that expression, but generally people call stuff rice that has no actual function other than trying to make the car look "cool".

My friend just turbo'd his '96 Eclipse RS and now he calls it an RS-T. He isn't putting the badge on but that is what he calls his car. Not sure about actually putting the sticker on the car though. In the end its up to you and what you wanna do...If you like the sticker put it on, if not, then don't.

if you gunna put a little badge on it, go nuts, but huge stickers that like cover the back windshield and stuff look stupid, personally i like cars that look really clean

I don't personally think it is. I'm not putting a huge sticker. Just one the same size as the factory Si one except it will say Si-T.

i actually think that would be alright, it would be unique for one, and it wont be like your lieing about it. go for it. just try to match the sticker with the old one so it looks like a stock emblem.

I was going to go to the local car graphics shop and have them print me some letters that look like the stock one just with the added -T on it

you know what i have learned? you can't please everybody all the time. if you do a bunch of show things to your car you're looked down on by the "race" community. and it goes the other way.

the other night we were out in jer's si. let me tell you, the outside of his car isn't exactly purty. but he could care less, he has a b16 under his hood and that is what makes him happy. so we're in a parking lot at the roach coach (mmm, taaaccos) when a guy comes out of one of the stores and gets into his 5th gen. i wish i had my camera. this car was completely redone to look like the 3 5th gens in F&F...down to the green neon. okay, whatever floats his boat. he gets in and pulls out of the parking lot like a normal driver but as soon as he's passing us he stomps on it. at this point jer and i exhange a that guy just auto assumed because jer's car looks like ass it had to be slower than his. where jer's thoughts were: maybe you could could kinda hang next to me if you had spent the money on engine rather than being F&F.

so i say....screw what people think. there is always going to be SOMEBODY out there talking smack no matter what you do. do what makes you happy since you are the only person who will be driving it daily

See I am going to be a little "F&F" as you call it. I will be running a R33 front bumper and Z3 fenders. A woman hit me and messed up my bumper and fenders and it was cheaper to go with the bodykit and z3s. I have 17" rims, about to be dropped 1.5-2", CF tail lights (I sold one of my stock ones to you remember lol) And I have a set of graphics that will be going on.

Going under the hood will be a D16Y8 head port and polished, with over sized valves, enclosing a crower stage 3 turbo cam. A d16 block bored .20 over with Arias 9.0:1 comp pistons, eagle rods. Custom turbo manifold, T28 turbo, TurboSmart RFL BOV, Dleatagate Wastegate, FMIC. Boosting about 6 psi daily, more when racing of course. So I will have the "go" to back the "show". I know it's nothing to the wonderful B16

I was just looking for something for people to see and be like "What the crap?" Or for some one to be like stupid ricer doesn't know what car hes driving. Then when they try to pass all they hear is the wonderful sound of the BOV... I don't know, just and idea

Rice to me is when you're trying to be something you aren't or can't be - for example - running a 1.5l and having a vtec sticker or Si sticker or emblem on your car, or running only underbody neon on your car and you can see all the bulbs because you don't have a kit on to block them, or on the show side being a stock and drop with stock wheels (that's fine for those who race) but if your trying to show - no bodies impressed. Wings are contriversal - I leave them as a matter of taste. On the race side, some of them think body kits are rice, I think they add style to the car, but I don't think they are rice. I think over doing vinyl stickers is rice, granted I have some a couple cars that have some nice vinyl graphics, but generally speaking I think they are rice. Rice to me is the ghetto wanna-be's on either side (race or show). They try to get away with doing all the cheap things and think they are cool.
