In progress: Tamiya Nissan Silvia S13

So, here i am with another kit, and with another problem... But ill get back to that.

The fist pic, nothing yet, im still sanding it (the pic was taken before)

Im thinking what version to build, i have two in mind:
- drift machine: exterior would be dark green or dark silver, the interior black or grey. Id put in red seats from a jag XJ220 i de-parted (they look very good!) and better looking steering wheel and gear-knob. Id put a small rollcage just over the rear seats, a small lip on the front and filled the hole on the left side and id put 17" Veilside Marriot wheels
- classic: dark green exterior, beige (leather) interior, ordinary seats and wheel, maybe lip and yokohama 18" wheels.

Well what do you think? Drift or no-drift?

And the problem - how to lower this complexed suspension. It looks to me as mission impossible. Can i leave it as it is? Does it sit too high?

Im kind of leaning toward the first version...

Cant wait to get to work

Re: In progress: Tamiya Nissan Silvia S13

i'm leaning towards no drift..too many drift car models around..how about a nice clean s13 like a tuning enthusiast would drive..nice wheels..no kit or just a lip..

just my opinion..of course its your kit...build it how you like

Hmm, ill see, but still i have no drift car and want one, and this is one of my favorites.
I have another problem: i have no friggin idea how to modify the wheels to get them on, the stick from the wheels is thinner than normal... Damn, why did i buy Tamiya and not Fujimis S13. Are anywhere any pics of completed suspension/modified wheels?

thanx for the comment

Danm thats pretty nice!! I'm going to get one of those kits soon. I've been looking at it since I've first seen it. Looking good man! I like what you did to the rotors. Nice and shiny. I think the best part is the paint booth :-p I say go with the volks
keep it up man.

Thx for the comment Btw: the brembos are not painted yet I got them with volks wheels. And ill probably only paint the calipers.

Oh, the color will be gold, the interior probably red-black or beige interior. But im more like leaning toward the first one..

nice one D.J. Maybe you could use some putty and make it unique.
Keep up the good work

Finished:

Had some serious problems with it, especially getting fujimi wheels to fit, arghh Oh, and thats the APEX´i muffler, kinda expensive stuff

Anyways, the next step is the interior, while primer hardens on the body..
