is this all i need to replace my air box?

Yes. Might need 4 bolts from a hardware store depending on the type of adapter that is.

performance wise what the diffrence betweend the FIPK 57-5504-1 k&n & 4.5" K&N filter with adapter? is one better than the other, i really dont understand why their is $50 diffrence..
