'95 LHS Temp Gauge Question

I have a '95 LHS. Twice now I've had all the radiator fluid empty to the ground. First time I was idling for 20 minutes in a parking lot. Second time it was when i went out the next morning to start the car.

I haven't really had any issues with it since then and it's been about 3 months or so since that happened. The gauge averages to stay just a hair above 1/4 of the way up while driving it.

However if I idle for a while it goes to halfway. Is this normal? I know other vehicles I've drove normally sit at halfway all the time so just wondering if it's something I should be worried about. I'm afraid of it rising more while driving. It goes back down once i start driving again.

Also, Could I have some radiator issues since it's emptied out a few times? If ya got any questions just reply with them and I can give more detail! Thanks much guys. I appreciate it.

Re: '95 LHS Temp Gauge Question

My 95 LHS has done this and I have now noticed the cooling fans are not cycling on when the coolant reaches a certain temperature, like most cars do. I need to know what relay controls the fans or how to check the motors, without pulling fans out. My A/C sysem also does not perfom correctly. I have had condenser and evaporator and another item inside the dash replaced and it will still not function properly. It may be the cooling fans causing this, also.
