Clutch Problems?

Hey i'm new to this forum, i have been reading it for awhile now so i thought i would join. But my question is, My Friend has a 88 CRX HF with a swaped d15(i know its stock, but it was swaped for a stock, cracked valve) Yesterday we put in a new clutch, throw out berring, and pressure plate. The clutch grabes, but he cannot burn out? Like we tach it too 5grand and drop the clutch and it kinda hangs around 5grand and drops to like 3 1/2 and then takes off...Kind of like its slipping? I have no idea what's going on. Hopefuly one of you can help me. Thanks!

Sal

I'm pretty sure u gotta break it in for a couple hundred miles ...someone correct me if i'm wrong. And if u just put a new clutch in and tryin to do burnouts, ur asking for something to go wrong with the clutch. take it easy, and break it in first...then...smoke all the tires u want
