Buzzing from dash during acceleration...
Have not heard this myself yet, but my wife describes it as similar to a very muted "fart muffler" (ala rice rocket) sound that follows RPM's as she accelerates. Says it's coming from the dash area, and does it whether the radio is on or not so it's not any sort of frequency disturbance like you used to get on some vehicles... Anyhow, anyone got a stab at this one? It's apparantly only on acceleration, and there is nothing loose or vibrating on the dash face??

I have a 95 Tahoe that now makes the same sound. The sound can be heard from an idle and does follow an acceleration pattern. I have not been able to determine the cause but I know it started occurring just after a had some work done in a shop. ( Was in for a new starter - 3 times in a week - ) I'll keep an eye on the thread & if I get an answer when it goes back in, I'll let you know.

Re: Buzzing from dash during acceleration...
i had a simular problem, i found mine to be the left speaker grill rattling. it only did it on acceleration and goes away at regular level speed. i just took it off and put some foam tape on the underside to cushion the grill, and worked like a charm.
