chain and sprockets
i have a 86 kawasaki ninja zx1000r , what would be the best chain and sprocket set to use? ,best place to get them? i am about to have tires put on it and since i don't think the chain and sprockets have ever been changed i was going to have it done with the tires , the sprokets are getting that nice little knife edge on them so i think it is time , thank you for any help with this

Do you want to change anything a far as gearing? I would probably go with a 530 x-ring chain, steel countershaft & rear sprocket. Of course you can go with a lighter chain and alloy rear but they will have to be replaced much more often.

Check the damper for wear too
A liter bike will eat a sprocket damper quick, replace it if the sprocket mount doesn't fit snug.
