Question Timming chain and gear replacement

Hi all
I'm about to replace the timming chain and gears on my 1994 325is...any tips out there ?

are you replacing the oil pan gasket as well?

you might have to...sometimes if you remove the chain cover...you could delaminate or tear the oil pan gasket. You might as well change it too...and also the engine seals such as the crankshaft.

Ok...thanks I will...another question...I talked with a mechanic here in town...he said the engine has twin over head cams...is this so ?

Yes, Since 1992 all 3 series BMWs have twin overhead valves.
