help again

ok i have another question about my mr2, in my trunk(the one up front) just behind the head lights there are these two red things that turn (one on each side) the turn very easily both directions and i was wondering what the hell they are there for???? does anyone know???? and also i cant seem to get the bolt off my crankshaft pulley some one told me it might be reversed threaded, is this true.. oh yeah i have a 87 mr2 n/a. any help would be great ly appreciated thanks.

they are for adjusting the headlight height (without the car being on) it's just a manual knob to raise and lower the fixtures.

no idea about the pulley tho...
