Installing Intake, can't remove Air box.

Hi I just got my brand new intake but I have the stock intake off however I can not find a way to remove the airbox where the filter is. How do I get it off?

Thx in advance.

Re: Installing Intake, can't remove Air box.

Take the air filter out. There are locking tabs by the fuse box. You push these towards the fender to unlock it. Then you just lift it out. You have to move the fuse box to the side to lift it out, and it might take a little pulling and jiggling to get the box out.

I looked for the locking tabs but didn't see them. How do I swing the fuse box out of the way? And also there is a big nipple looking thing on the back of the air box, next to the fire wall, how to I get the box off of that?

The fuse box is clipped in and there are locking tabs, and yes all you do is pull to get it out of the nipple. These are very simple intakes to install.

I got my intake in last night, thx for your help hopeless4life. I unscrewed the battery thing on the bottom of the batt. to help give me some leverage and tilted the battery up and out of its location then just heaved on the air box and out it came. I must say that intake sounds great and my cav pulls very hard now

air silencer

Will this also allow the silencer to be removed? That thing is a work of art... Also, does anyone know when a tech manual is going to be released? I miss my chilton's(had a Z34).
