Red face Door Lock Jammed

My 1999 silverado passenger door lock has jammed and the door will not open. Neither the key or the switch will unlock the door. Does anyone know what the problem may be and how to fix it?
Thanks

Power Locks... The door is locked shut, I can't get the door panel off.

Try hitting the unlock button and just after pull the handle, mine did the same thing and this is what i have to do to get the door open.

Re: Door Lock Jammed

Good news and bad news... What it sounds like to me is that the accutator has frozen up. That's the bad news. Now the good news ( I guess, if you want to call it that) is that you CAN remove the door panel from the inside of the truck. It is going to take some work, but it can be done. You will probably need to remove the front seat from the drivers side. The only connection that will be a problem is the screw on the bottom of the door. I hope that is simply what kilaklownz said, but I am not that lucky myself.

I had the same problem on mine ('01 Z71) a couple months ago. The pulling the handle right after hitting unlock got mine open after I tried it a few times. If you can get it open, hit lock and unlock a few times with both doors open. If they stick in the lock position again, hit unlock once, work'em open with a flathead screw driver, clean out the crudded up lube as best you can and apply plenty of WD-40 or 3-in-1 oil. Worked on mine and a couple of my buddies... hope it helps.
