Lightbulb IGNITION LOCKED Please HELP

Last night I left the mall, hit the remote unlock, got in the car. And the ignition was totally locked up. The key would not turn any way shape form or fashion. I tried my girl's key, but the same thing. I moved the steering wheel, everything I could think of. I had to get it towed the next morning (still locked up) to the Chevy dealer. But it was Sunday (closed), so this morning, I call the dealer and the tech says, he got in the the car started up. What's up with that. Any ideas out there????? Please. It happened one time before to my girl, the luckily whereever she was, a GoodWrench tech stopped by, popped the hood, and "reset something" Of course she didn't watch what.
