Re: what is the best turbo for the fc?
What do you want to use the car for? Daily driver, drag car, or road race car, etc?
Daily driver- I'd go with a smaller turbo like a KKK or td04/5 or a t04 hybrid with a 63 a/r. Drag car- T88 or a massive KKK Road race car- ball bearing T04 with a .8 turbine and a 63 a/r. |

Maxium Boost by Corky Bell is a great book on turbocharging. I bought my copy from Amazon.com

Re: what is the best turbo for the fc?
Turbonetics 60-1 or 60-1 HIFI with a dry centre housing (CHRA) and 1.00 to 1.15 A/R P-Trim divided tangential turbine housing. It will make gobs and gobs of power on a 13B with ease and still be streetable. The power curve will be shifted forward about 1000 to 1500rpm from where it is with the stock turbocharger.
The other thing needed here isn't just the turbocharger itself but a litany of other things: To run the engine and turbocharger properly, you'll have to change the fuel pump, the fuel injectors, the ECU control unit with a standalone fuel injection system (let the arguments begin), as well as address the problem of the stock intercooler. In short, unless you're willing to spend some bucks and do some research, I wouldn't bother changing the turbocharger out. Both the S4 and S5 FC's don't leave alot of room for aftermarket turbocharger changes when it comes to their respective, stock EFI systems; they're quite stubborne when it comes to making big changes and not wanting to budge to go along with them. ![]() B
