Question A/C blower only works on 3 and 4 setting

The A/C fan (blower) on my 1990 CRX only works now on positions 3 and 4. It used to work on 1-4, then 1 dropped out, and then 2 dropped out. Any suggestions? Perhaps the blower resistor? the blower itself, or both?

Re: A/C blower only works on 3 and 4 setting

Yep, it's the resistor. It's located behind the glove box and is attached to the fan housing. Once you take it out it's easy to see if the coils are broken or not. The dealer sells them but you can save money and get a few at the junk yard. I think 5th gen civics use the same part as well. GL
