My fan switch only works on setting 4 but not on 1, 2 and 3. What's wrong with it? Can I fix this myself? Thanks, Rokhill |

Yes, you can do it yourself. What you need to replace is a blower motor resistor. It is situated on the evaporator case to the right of dash. It is below the wiper motor. Good Luck.

Hi
Sorry but I'm a car newbie and I don't know where that is? Is it located under the passenger side dash or driver's side? Where can I get a blower resistor? Is it expensive? |

Blower resistor is about $12.00. Open the hood and look at the back of the engine towards the wall you will see a black oblong motor. That is the wiper motor. The wiper is attached to it. A little below and to the left is a little plug (resistor) that goes into the evaporator case. Two screws hold it in place. Unplug the wiring that goes into it, remove the two
screws and carefully remove the resistor. Install the resistor carefully. The resistor is available at any automotive parts store. However, I'd prefer a dealer part.
