I bought some Eurolite interior neons and to connect them permanent i have to go to a 12v source in my case is my battery...and i want to connect them to a switch HOW DO I connect the neons to a switch and where do i set up the switch HELP PLEASE

if you still need help here it is..... you buy a switch it as 3 connectors 12v,acsse,ground, 12v goes to batt. acsse is the neon wire and your ground will thats a piece of metal

or, if you want them to come on with the headlights/parking lights, wire them into the dimmer switch, so they come on when the headlights come on... kinda a cool effect.

Just wondering, if you have a 3 pronged switch like D-FOSSE is talking about, with a built in ground, are those the ones that light up when on... like they have a built in red LED, in the switch?
unimportan_t, you could get a simple toggle on/off switch, or use a switch in your car that's not being used... run the positive red wire from the neon to one terminal of the switch, and the other terminal of the switch goes to the positive terminal of the battery... (you should use a fuse!) and as for the ground, take the black wire from the neon and bolt it to a solid, clean piece of metal on your car. Hope this helps... |
