sway bars or rear lower arm bar

Hey guys, i was doing some research on some suspension upgrades for my 91 civic 4 door. What is the difference between a rear lower arm bar and a sway bar? Which one is more efficient? I think that the sway bar prevents body roll, but what does the rear lower arm bar do? Also, i was looking at a basic suspension upgrade like a Skunk2 coilover kit with some skunk2 strut braces, front and rear. same with the sway bars or the other things. thanks for any info.

Re: sway bars or rear lower arm bar

Get the sway bar. Strut bars are tie bars are pretty much usless to 99% of the people that have them on their cars.
I know strut bars were my personal most usless mod.

Re: sway bars or rear lower arm bar

Most rear lower arm bars are for stiffening things up on the chassis. Where as a swaybar as we all know prevents excess body roll. I have a neuspeed 22mm rear bar right now but soon i'm gettin ready to switch over to the progress suspension bar. The neuspeed bar is based off the stock design. The progress bar is a little more efficent due to the way they designed it, if your in the market for a good sway bar give there bar a look at least.
