for five grand? 5th gen civic hatch (92-95) and swap in b18b nonvtec...but thats my choice....Id say go for the integra cause well i like the looks of the teg better....and the engine better too if youre not into the whole engine swap thing

Even though you didn't mention this as an option, I'd go with a '91 CRX and swap in a B18C1. With bolt-ons, you'd be running high 13's and absolutely destroy your friend's 'lude.

Re: which car is best to buy?

No it is not the integra type r engine. The type r engine is b18c5 and that engine runs just beneath 5000 bucks or around that. The b18c1 is the 1.8 140 h.p interga engine, and theres also the gsr one thats 170 h.p.

Check hmotorsonline.com for a complete swap. It'll cost you about $3200. Get a CRX for $1000 and you've got $800 left for an exhaust system and an intake.

Re: which car is best to buy?

isnt accord kinda heavy? it really depends on what your goal is, if you want good highway speed then go with a integra which a really good aero dynamics and already has a good motor, if you want a drag car go with a hatch you can get them fairly cheap and then drop in a b18c1 gsr motor cause the weight is so light you will be flying with just a few bolt-ons. personally i like the teg but thats cause i have one. tegs are a little bit more expensive also. if you are going to go that way get one that has obd1 not 2
