Croyden Autosports have done conversions like that. Call 'em or go visit them in Silverwater.

Just like my last post says - the answer is Croyden Autosports. They specialize in Hondas and have done just about every conversion under the sun. Everything from a basic B16A into a 5th gen Breeze to dropping a H22A Prelude Engine into CRXs or Civics and giant external wastegate 30+psi turbocharging. Give 'em a call. From memory they are in Blaxland Rd. Silverwater.

yeah i know CAS do all sorts of conversions but wot i'd like to know is that has any1 done the crx b18c swap???
i'd like to know how much insurance is, and also, did they buy a front cut of a teg and use the parts from it onto the crx including dash, disc rotors (5 bolts), suspension setup or did they just buy the b18c engine/gearbox/ecu/loom and a crx SiR shell? |

As I said, CAS has poerformed this swap before. I don't know any more than that. You'll have to contact them yourself. The easiest way to do it would be to get just an engine and gearbox, wiring loom and ECU and drop it in after modifying engine mounts, sump, tranny tunnel, bonnet etc. Sorry I can't be more help but it's all I know.

The easiest way would be to treat it as a B16A conversion, using the cable tranny, SiR ECU etc.
Try www.hasport.com for info on the swap.

That's cool. The conversions I'm really looking forward to when someone throws buckets of money at their honda are - A B16A or B18C1 6 speed AND(dreamin')\OR AWD conversion. Anything else - don't hesitate to post.

One of my cousin's friends is doing a teg type R conversion into his CRX. He already had the B16a conversion, but has taken it out, and they have started on swapping over. He bought the front cut. Not much was really usuable apart from the engine, only some bits of the dash near the ashtray, and they thing where the Taco, fuel level, etc is (which I've taken for my car).
My friend David, however has done the whole TYPE R conversion to his Teg, Everything has been changed. Rotors, front, rear bar conversions, all interior trim, engine, etc. Sent Croydon an email, like I said previously the know crap about customer service. Its been a few weeks and no reply. I'm sure it would be harder finding Jim when you call too.

heheh... how many times did Q have to answer the question?
![]() AWD isn't feasable in a 5G - even if you used the AWD 4G station wagon, you are limited to D series stud patterns and a weak transfer case - or a lot of money disappearing for not much result. |
