Question coolant temperature sensor

Does anyone know if the code P0128 is the coolant temperature sensor? Would this cause the engine to studder and feel like it wants to stall out? Has anyone ever had this problem? Thanks

Re: coolant temperature sensor

P0128 coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature. this means it's either the thermostat or the cts(coolant temp sensor) i'd change the sensor first and see if that fixes it. this is like driving an old care with the choke on. it will cause drivability issues. make sure you change the right sensor most engines have one for the computer and one for the dash gage
