New 2006 Lexus GS

What do you think of the new GS? Do you think they really mean, it's going to be the smartest car on the road?

Also, to me, the styling looks like a cross between the new BMW5-Series, a Nissan Maxima, and an Infiniti G35.

Well, I would say it looks more like the current Nissan Maxima

It looks nice. The rear end looks a little like the new A8.

The front end looks ok, but not great.
More importantly, I hope they offer 6-speed version with 400 hp to compete with the M5 (not that I can afford one). But I guess the new M5 is supposed to have around 500 HP, so scrap that idea.

Nissan has copied Lexus for so long (see the 90 200SX? or whatever that SC clone was called), that now we think Lexus looks like Nissans. That sucks. The Altima was a direct hit to our GS's good looks. Style infringement. I have an all Black 98, and I would see Altimas and think they were GS's. Yeah the next generation looks very Nissany. But Nissan is very Lexus GS-y. What can we do if they keep copying us? Oh well they will never have the class and ride quality.

The interior is really nice, much better than the previous generation. But I like the current GS's exterior design better, especially the front and rear end light designs.

most definately better than last generation. it kinda looks like cross breed between all the cars mention above but i really love the new direction of lexus design.
