NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
I know this friend of mine who is planning to get a $50,000 price range luxery car. and i reconmmend that he should wait until spring of 2005 to get these two nice cars, or others. The specifications are everywhere, so no need for me to post it. if u had that money, which brand would you choose, i would pick the G430

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
I say M45. it makes 45 more hp and has that new sensor thing that notifies you if you veer out of your lane of travel. their really isn't enough info available yet i don't think. All i know is the lexus is a 300 hp 4.3 V8 w/ 6 speed auto. the m45 is a 340 hp 4.5 v8 with 5 speed auto w/ OD. i'd be happy to own either one but i'm a big nissan/infiniti fan so i'd go with the M45.

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
yea that lane tech is useful, but not for youth people, i think its more useful for mature adults lol, they can't drive. and lexus is know for a quiet ride. of coures the M45 has more power, I even think it looks better. to get info for these cars, it is at EDMUNDS.COM
LEXUS GS Its sleek, new shape is the most noticeable change in what is now the third generation of GS sedans, but there are plenty of other upgrades sprinkled throughout this new luxury sedan that should help boost its chances of competing against the Europeans. When it goes on sale in early 2005, the GS will be available with either a 245-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 or a 300-hp, 4.3-liter V8. All V8 models will be rear-wheel drive, but cars equipped with the V6 will offer both all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive setups. A six-speed automatic is the standard transmission while a new Adaptive Variable Suspension offers four different settings for comfort or performance. New technological elements include an advanced stability control system dubbed Vehicle Dynamic Management (VDM) that reacts quicker and with less intrusiveness than the previous VSC system. All GS models will also include a full complement of front, side and knee airbags along with a Pre-Collision System (PCS) that prepares the car for an impending crash to reduce severity. The GS will also offer standard features like a keyless ignition, adaptive headlights and a rear backup camera integrated with the optional navigation system. INFINITI M45 After just two years in the United States market, Infiniti is already redesigning its M45 sedan. Slated for 2006 production, the new M45 is expected to look much like the concept shown at the New York Auto Show, as well as carry over the lion's share of its feature content. It will feature the same 340-horsepower, 4.5-liter V8 engine found in the current M45 along with a five-speed automanual transmission. It will ride on Infiniti's FM (front midship) platform which also carries the G35 coupe and sedan, as well as the FX SUV -- although more than half of the platform's design and components have been adapted specifically for the M45's use. A new active rear control suspension system works in harmony with steering input and vehicle speed to provide optimal ride and driver control. Another new driver-oriented feature is the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system which will sound an alarm should the driver unintentionally veer from the current driving lane. But a list of in-vehicle technology would seem incomplete these days without a navigation system (this one features a new interface with voice activated destination entry), as well as Bluetooth wireless connectivity and several "intelligent" items including Infiniti's Key system with push-button start and cruise control. |

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
they don't mention that the M will also offer a VQ35 v6 powered M35 with RWD standard and optional AWD transmission used in the skyline. i didn't know the lexus was the same way.

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
you should also consider the new acura RL. this car should really boost acura's image. the TL and MDX have really helped to increase the prestige factor of acura, something that has been really non existent throughout the 90's. still not up there with lexus and infiniti but this should change starting with the new RL. i'm starting to see some on the roads, they look pretty good. made c&d's 10best list its first year out (although i think C&D is quite biased towards honda). haven't read anything negative about this car. lacks a V8 but 300hp out of a V6 is respectable. just another suggestion.
out of the two. i saw the new GS at the SF auto show. looked pretty nice. same with the M45. i would go for the lexus though. |

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
RL i think its the best Acura made. NSX is too much and not enough performence for the buck. But RL will past the 50,000 mark with everything included i think, but i would pick the RL too. its an good choice

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
Just on the lane thing, I for one think it's a fantastic idea, many a time I've been driving along a highway on a wet night wondering where the fuck the lane markings are, so something like that'd be a godsend.
The LExus still looks better though and if it's anything like a big Altezza, it'll handle beautifully too.

Yeah, the NSX is about driving experience more than sheer performance. It's also more practical and more reliable than almost any other supercar, as an added bonus.

Re: NEW 2006 Lexus 430 vs Infiniti M45
thats what Acura is known for "reliable", but im into performence, so guess the NSX can't do the Job, lets say a M3. cost arround 50-65 grands. 30 grands of modification on this car will get more heads on this car than the NSX. thats my taste. is M3 reliable? i think so, its a BMW. Dont get me wrong the NSX is an hot car, everybody will agree right? if i had the money to throw arround, NSX will be it. just imagine an M3 with lambo doors, wide body kit, turbo, nice interior mods, with all the money you had spend on an NSX, you could of had this nice M3 all hooked up. well if some people perfer a quiet ride and whatever go with NSX, Im just saying there are lot of competitions when it comes to 90,000 sticker price
