Thumbs up I'm 03'd up!!!

I finally found me an 03 Max, it is white just like my 2k (I'm still have this one too) it is an SE.

The power difference is noticeable right out the box, I love it. Only one thing is that my wife wants to drive it from time to time so I had to get an Auto but it's still hott.

I think I got a really good deal too, I only paid 15k flat for it and I have a 100K warranty.

I guess I'm gonna have to change my name to bk2k3max now.

Re: I'm 03'd up!!!

I love that new Avatar you got, what are the recalls on the 02/03?

What is the top end on the SE 03?

What is the little symbol that looks like a C with a line going through it on the radio mean?

Sorry about all the questions but I have to know.

bk2, with all due respect, i enjoy reading all your posts and arguments as well as pao's and BP's. i still think they are the same person. but i think you should have waited off and gotten either a G35 or a later version 6th gen. Regardles, you got yourself a sweet ride and i hope you enjoy it.
good luck with it and don't mod it too much now!

Damn straight bro! Welcome to the 3.5 club. What options does she have? Any plans for mods? Great price by the way. I think you will like it a lot!

Thanks bro and I agree that Pao guy and BP gotta be the same dude .

I probably would've held out and got a G if I could've found one for 15k, I hear what you're saying but this was too sweet of a deal to pass up.

Only mods planned so far is tomorrow FSTB and 20%tintz, 18" Arachnids in hypersilver (jacking my wife's 2k for my rims, she doesn't really care too much for 18"s anyway) and for near future when they send my Tein Springs they are going on the 03 by June I will add a Frankencar Intake.

I'm not really too sure what is even standard on these cars so I'll just list what I have:

Sunroof, foglights, spoiler, cd (indash), floor mats, SE body, HIDS, power seats, steering wheel controls for Temperature/Trip/Stereo/Cruise, AC, 17" inch Spoke wheels and Pretenda tires (hate deez). I can't forget the 100K warranty.

Plans for mods are in the previous post.

I know most or some of this is standard equipment, so I'm just listing what is on the car.

I wish I could find a G that had a deal this sweet, I would've bought it without even looking to see what it had or didn't have.

Not related but today I saw a Lexus GS 300 (99) with 57K in excellent condition today for sale for 21K, I think that is a good deal too, the car was in perfect condition.

I was inspired to make the avatar after i saw a really good documentary on VH1 about BIG, i felt bad that i cut his pic out of the old avatar so i made a new one, but thaks.

I had my MAFS replace, but i don't think it's officially a recall, but it was done free of charge. the crank shaft positioning sensor is a recall, they offer the datadot anti headlight theft kit fot free, but i don't know if that's considered a recall. that's all i can think off of the top of my head.

the top speed of the 5th-1/2 gen is 148 mph controlled by the ecu. and you'll notice in this car that there isn't an ignition retardation for rev limiter, it's a fuel cut off. if you go to redline with it, instead of making the civic noise where it starts popping and bounicing off rev limiter, the fuel pump just shits off instead. it sounds like it's much less harsh on the engine. it may actually be that way on your other 5th gen

i don't think i have the C symbol you're talking about. did you get the bose stereo?

Congrats on the 03! I got my 03 last year and have been extremely happy with it! For being an auto, they do haul some serious @ss!
As for the "C" thing on the stereo screen, that's the icon for your CD player. I took my ex out for Valentine's this past weekend and she asked me the same thing. When there's a line through it, that means you've already got a cd in the deck. Kinda helpful if you've left a cd in there, as it'll keep you from putting another cd in if you've already got one in there.

Thanks potna, you know how it is when something just sticks out and bothers you so much you just gotta ask somebody and to BP I do have the crappy Bose system but I'm just going to have to live with it for now.

Thanks Nismo, I just couldn't walk away when the sales guy came back with the deal on paper I pulled out my own pen and signed away. I love the car it is sweet on power.

So far I've had a Chevy Impala test me, what a waste of time and a juiced Honda Civic but he was no competition either and the funny thing is that I wasn't even looking for a race, I was simply riding and just enjoying my car but they both wanted to play because I have temp tags on my car, I guess they wanted to see what I could do but they got smoked badly.

It's all about the 3.5 man!! Oddly enough, I think the Maxima's equipped with the variable capacity muffler are quieter than previous models. I swear my 2k3 growls less than my dad's '98 I30.

And don't even waste your gas on Honda pieces of shiite.

That is true the 3.5 is quieter at the take off but the 00/01 are quieter on the highway probably due to the VI.

The Hondike was a waste of time, actually both were but I couldn't let him think he even had a chance, I had to represent the Max.
