water pump?

Hi - got a 92 Grand Prix that for the last couple of days when I park on a hill would have a low coolant light. Went off when I was level. Today the engine temp went up almost to red and started steaming by the engine block.
I dont see any leaking hoses, but coolant gathering by the block.
Any ideas???

The tsat is only 2 months old, but its about in the right spot. My overflow is full though.

Re: water pump?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the low coolant switch mounted in the radiator of that car? Just because the overflow is full doesn't mean the rad. is full. A bad rad. cap will cause this. However, the leak needs to be fixed first.

Re: water pump?

If its filling up the overflow bottle then its probably spilling out of there. I know when I lost my belt on the highway the car overfilled the bottle and I had coolant all over the place.
