Question how do you replace the low-beam bulbs of a 95 240sx??

hey I just bought some osram silverstars, 9003, and wondering how to replace the bulbs.

I first twisted off a ring which exposed a rubber backing about the size of a coaster covering the back of the bulb. Not sure what to do and there doesn't seem to be anything to unscrew and don't want to just start pulling. How do I get the bulb out?

That little rubber cover is the power source for the bulb. Just pull straight back and it comes right off. There is nothing holding it on. Once you get that off then you will see a little wishbone looking clip that is holding the bulb into the housing. just squeeze the sides of the clip and it will come loose which then frees the bulb.

Re: how do you replace the low-beam bulbs of a 95 240sx??

finally yanked out that stupid power cord. Now the bulb is under this rubber and the clips are under the rubber, do you guys just use your fingers to pull in the clip and take out the rubber and bulb out??? Also did you guys take the headlight out or can I still replace the bulbs with the housing still screwed in?
