RX7 VS Supra

RX7 with T88 vs Supra with T88.

Who do you think would win and why?

Re: RX7 VS Supra

Well...the RX7 starts out lighter and w/less HP initially than the Supra...but the Supra I think responds better to upgrades than the RX7 does...

Tough call...in a short race...the RX7...long race...the Supra

The RX-7 is light and sleek, the Supra is big and powerful. I like them both.

Re: RX7 VS Supra

There are way more factors to make this poll work. Is the rx-7 ported, is the supra stock bottom end, what fuel systems are they using, what kind of exhaust, etc...?

The supra will have more lag because the exhaust gas that comes out of the rotary will be hotter. The rotary will also have the better power band. The torque curve would be flatter.

I'd say the rx-7 because its lighter, but the supra would produce more hp.

Yes, finally

Someone who actually posted this topic, the two cars I am looking for. Anyhow, instead of using common sense why don't people post results but not just drag results but like track times also. Another thing, is T-88 the best or something and I am still wondering till this day which car Mazda RX-7 and the Toyota Supra Twin Turbo), all around without judging the looks and adding mods is the better performance car?

a supra with a T88 usually makes close to 1000hp but at the price of alot of lag. usually people who drag race don't put t88's in their supras. but puts them in for highway runs. a supra with a T88 would pretty much take out almost anything on the highway. and that includes rx-7's. the rx-7 is a more balanced car, but when it comes to pure grunt and top speed, it would be the supra hands down. plus hte supra has 6 speeds and its geared more for highway anyways.

Tat, you are saying that overall the best model of the Supra can out perform the best model of the RX-7? Even if they were both stocked, the Supra all around cn whoop the RX-7s rear bumper?
