not callin BS, cause that thing is one bad-ass piece of machinery, but how do you know that it is a daily driver? I looked all over their website, and it looks to me like it's that performance shops drag queen. I could be wrong, but just because a car is driven on a daily basis, that doesn't make it a "daily driver"...

on their website (www.shepracing.com) there's a link in the Drag Talon section to an article about the car.

He may or may not do it now that it's an 8.7 second 4 cylinder beast - but even when he was runnin low 10's/high 9's he sometimes drove the thing to work and back. And did a lot of his fast times on street radials.

He said "sometime" daily-driver, which is absolutely true. John Shepherd used to drive that thing everyday to his shop.

As of now, he doesn't do that anymore, but he is still known to drive it to and from the track...on the same tires he raced with...

yea sheperd is a dsm god, i dont think his car is dailydriven anymore but when it was it was doing mid 9sec runs all day long, not bad for a 4clyd, if you look around you well see that alot of tunned gsx/tsi are doing easy 12sec runs if not quicker on minor mods, you invest a good 6g's into a gsx/tsi and you will see 12's. these car take extremely well to mods and will hull sum serious ass..

I haven't bothered checking this particular link out, as I can't watch .avi files at school but, if it is the same 8-sec run vid I saw before, it's funny how far he leaves behind the RX7 he runs against that we would consider blazing at 9's.

Funny you should mention Buscher - that's who he originally bought the talon from. He bought it when it was running 11's and such.

hah i was reading an old turbo article from when he was running mid/high 9's...it said that he always eased the clutch out and barely ever redlined it cause if he did everything woudl go boom!
