We had the same problem here but if you go slow enough you'll be able to creep it out without getting too stuck, my cars can do it so your truck shouldn't have a problem if you just take your time and concentrate on getting out. Biggest mistake I see people making is flooring it or trying to cut the wheel too fast.

They do work quite well, I've only used them on RWD cars though, not sure about the laws in Nebraska but I don't see why they wouldn't be legal. Definitly something to check into though if your having trouble in the snow.

Do you put any weight in the back over the tires? I have a 2wd full size pick up and I live in S.W. Michigan. We get lot's of lake effect snow and I haven't gotten stuck yet. I haul around about 350 to 400 lbs of sand bags in mine. Good tires help too.

That would probably help me out a lot, but I've been reluctant to put a whole lot of weight back there because I do make a 160 mile trip back home every other week or so and the gas mileage sucks bad enough without the weight. When I do get in a pickle I try to shovel lots of snow back there, and that usually works.

Take the bags out before the trip or when the roads are clear. I usually only have the weight in there when it get's bad out. I keep it just inside the garage door so I can just back up to it and load up.

Yeah, well at least you aren't hydroplaning down the road in the middle of summer with the headlights on becasue it's so crappy and hard to see

Of course, at least the rain never turns tos now and I can still driver my car where I want

HA!!! it was 44 F yesterday and it was hot as Hell!!! i had to take my coat off that's how hot it was

hey give me a break here after weeks of below zero temperatures even 35 degrees would make a person sweat
