'95 JGC Orvis Problems - Any Help?
I have a '95 with about 107,000 miles on it and am thinking of selling. Before I do, I'd like to fix a couple probs:
1. Rear windshield wiper operates once, then stops 2. Power antenna motor makes noise, but antenna doesn't move 3. Oil pressure gauge all over the place when motor running 4. Difficult to remove rear differential cover/replace gasket? 5. Rear turn signals come on with brake lights, and when use left turn signal. No bulbs need replacing. Dealer had suggested a prob with the trailer hitch lights, but they've been there for years and I just started having a light prob Other than that, I haven't really had any poroblems with the car. Any help on above is appreciated. |

I have the same vehcile but with 153,000.
1 - I tried replacing the rear wiper motor but it turned out not to be that. It might be the switch but have not tested it. 2 - My antenna needs Viagra/Cialis. Sometimes it goes all the way up, other time it doesn't. Supposedly you need to pull the fender to replace. I'll deal with it for now. 3 - Been like this for about 1 year. Supposedly its not detrimental so I left it. 4 - Not had an issue with the rear diff. (knock on wood) Few things to consider if you think you might keep it. I had transfer case problems at around 120,000 ( $2,500 ) Front axle/CV joint ( normal wear/tear ) Tranny slips on occasion but not sure if it is actually the xfer case again. Radio lights have been on the fritz for a couple of years. Other than that, I love the vehicle. The only major concern that I have with it is whether the xfer case will die on me or not because at 153,000 miles I'm not going to invest another $2,500 into it. Good luck. |

Re: '95 JGC Orvis Problems - Any Help?
1. mines was doing the same thing now it don't work at all.
2. the antenna ribbs may have broke off and thats why it's not going up. You don't have to take the fender off to change, but it is located behind the fender, just remove the splash shield in the wheel well. 3. dunno about the oil pressure guage, I would replace and c what happens only like $25 from autozone. 4. No, the differential cover is not hard to remove. there is only like 8-10 bolts to take off, while ur at it I would change the fluid (Front and Rear). 5. I'm not sure but maybe there is MUD in the Trailer hitch lite hook up. and that is causing the problem. not sure. |
