86 mustang

im new to the mustang and im looking at buying a 86 ford mustang gt, but the nose on the car is butt ugly. so i was wondering if it is posible to upgrade the the newer fox body front end? The car has and brand new engine in it, less than 20,000 km and redone suspension, it needs body work and paint, hes asking 4,500 cnd is this a good deal?

Re: 86 mustang

Mustang parts are very reasonably priced. However, you may get dinged on insurance and gas. Start your bumber search with any Mustang magazine. I like "Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords". However, there are at least a half dozen magazines that cover Mustangs in great detail.

The newer 87-93 nose will bolt to any fox Mustang but along with the bumper cover itself you will need the aero headlights also.
