Question APC air filter???

Those anyone know if the APC Intimidator air filters (the colored cone shaped ones) are any good??? And does those small air breathers (the ones that cost about $10-$15) do anything other than look good?

Thankx

I had that APC intimidator intake on my Ford Probe until i got rid of it, I was really impressed with it. It stepped up my throttle response greatly. When I got rid of that car I kept the intake and when I got my civic I cut the pipe to fit and now I have the ultimate short ram. But yeah the filters are great. My friend has a short ram (non apc) on his integra and then he went to Auto Zone and bought the intake and filter and just attached it to his short ram and ran it down into his wheel well for a cold air intake. Its great because he can take it off if it rains, and once its dry again he just puts in back on.

Re: APC air filter???

I know K&N is a good intake but i heard the APEXi superflow air filter or something like that actually flows a lil better than K&N but I'm sure both are good.

Re: APC air filter???

We have this project car were workin on and we tried makin the old engine into a ghetto banger....we took the whole intake setup off, it sucked air right threw the throttle, btw it's a 91 civic hb, and we put a test pipe on and got rid of the resinator....that thing was soo fuckin loud it made my teeth hurt...then one day a leaf got in there and that was that...

i dunno why u bash APC all the time, some products arent too bad, the filter for example, is not a bad one, its just like a normal cone filter, nothing special, granted its not high flowing like K&N but oh well, it works fine for ppl who dont have 100 bux 2 spend on a filter. i know u can hear my intake sucking in alot of air when i rev it so its doing its job
