Will this head work?
Ok heres the deal. I bought a turbo, mani, adapter plate, and dp from a guy of HT a while back. Well he sold me everything for $200 since I had new him and hooked him up on a deal before. Well I found a guy that had a head he offered to trade me for. It has been port and polished, titanium valves, new valve retainers, new springs. Well he didn't know I only paid $200 for the turbo stuff so we traded. Well got it and the valve cover is this silver cover and says VTEC on it. It's a SOHC. He said it was a D16 head, so my question is what D16? Will this head go on my A6 without any problems. I am changing the cam out and putting a turbo cam so controlling the VTEC isn't a problem. I just want to make sure it fits. Attached are a few pics. Did I get a good deal?

Re: Will this head work?
Just found out it's a d16y8 head off of a 1997 Civic.

Re: Will this head work?
Yep it will fit on yours fine. Buy a new headgasket and a timing belt for the d16y8 and youre all set to go. Besides putting it on!

Re: Will this head work?
vtec controller, or you can convert the ecu to obd1 and get an ecu from a d16z6 or you can be really brave and convert to obd2 and use the stock ecu.
But the easiest way is like a <100.00 dollar vtec controller. |

Re: Will this head work?
Will this be a good head for a turbo setup?
