Will DOHC head work on a 95 SOHC block?

Got an eclipse I think it has the DOHC 420 motor in it and bought a 95 Neonwith good motor but its a SOHC will the block from the neon match up with the head from the eclipse?

If you want to put a dohc head on a sohc here is what you need:But I think it has to be from another neon because of the computer swap.Hope this helps a little.

*DOHC head with cams and valvetrain
*DOHC Intake manifold and gasket
*DOHC exhaust manifold or header or turbo manifold and gasket
*DOHC EGR valve tube and gaskets
*DOHC throttle body gasket (it's different from plastic SOHC manifold)
*DOHC valve cover and gasket
*DOHC cam gears
*DOHC PCM that is compatible with your year of car, 95, 96, or 97-99
*DOHC timing belt
*DOHC timing belt covers (if you want them)
*DOHC timing belt idler pulley on head
*DOHC plastic thermostat housing and gasket
*DOHC upper radiator hose (SOHC may work for some)
*DOHC camshaft position sensor, gasket and wiring pigtail (although I HAVE seen a SOHC sensor bolted to a DOHC motor using only 2 bolts)
*DOHC air cleaner assembly, unless you are using an ICE MAN or similar
*DOHC spark plug wires
*DOHC hard plastic fuel line from metal line to fuel rail (SOHC may work for some)
*Headgasket (should be the same for SOHC and DOHC?)
*Head bolts (can't remember if SOHC and DOHC head bolts are the same, but I think they're different?)
*Anerobic gasket sealer for camshaft caps
*Using dual radiator fans is suggested if you have A/C
*Extend the 3 CTS (coolant temp sensor) wires so that they reach the new CTS location engine here

The neon engine is not a 420a engine. They are completely different engines. They will not swap at all.

The correct "build sheet" engine codes for the various engines are

DOHC - ECC
SOHC - ECB
Magnum - ECH
Mitsu - 420A

Plus you guys are messing up the proposed "D4RE" etc. by mixing up the order.

It would be D4RE, not 4DRE.
