i just got a performancec chip to put into my ecu. the chip i got has 14 pair of wire legs and i got another one with it that is just like it but its just the legs and a frame that you can plug the other one into. my ecu has chips the same dimentions as the ones i got but they all have 22 legs. wtf???

update
ok. in the bottom right hand corner of the ecu (wire harnes on the left side) there is a blank spot where the chip will fit but there is not an installed chip in its place. it is numbered 27256. would i then just unsodder the closed holes and plug the chip in there?

ok. i got detailed instructions from a guy off ebay. the chip goes in the empty slot and you have to take out another one, then add a jumber and a resistor in another place. thanks for looking. if anybody needs the instructions in the future hit me up.
