In Progress:Tamiya Fairlady Z
I've recently torn apart this model, I wasnt too satisfied with it's turnout, i've completely turned it into a new project, but so far, all thats been done is the sanded body, it could be ready for primer any time. I'm not having too much luck as far as inspiration, and any help would be appreciated...i'm not the greatest with putty so i cant do anything TOO extreme. The first thing i have in mind is changing the wheels, as the stock wheels just don't seem suitable for any kind of plan i have in mind, however, I really dont have anything at the moment.
Any input, ideas, anything? Thanks

Re: In Progress:Tamiya Fairlady Z
Why don't you just go wild and make it bone stock?
![]() it's different from almost everyone else's..

Re: In Progress:Tamiya Fairlady Z
I have to agree, that car would look lovely standard.
Maybe different wheels, but nothing wild. |

I'm building too a 350Z but with some modifications (air intake on the bonnet, sides, ...). You can try to modify only the front bumper: with some putty add a lip, that changes the car & it's not extreme. If you don't like putty, change only the exhaust & the wheels.

Re: In Progress:Tamiya Fairlady Z
Why not make it like a Nismo or something then. Autoweek had a story on them about finally coming to the us, and they looked hot.
