Weird Problem with Drivers Door Speakers!

Hello!

I own a '97 318i and I am very proud of it, except for one very annoying thing. The drivers-door speakers don't work! I know there are three, (two in the door, one in the footwell) and none of those 3 produce music. The rest of the speakers in the car work very well, no hitches or glitches. I've removed the door panel, checked connections in the door, but the speakers appear to be fine. When the radio is on, if I listen very closely I can hear some low-level noise (some static), but no music. None. I've gone into the trunk, and looked at the connections to the amp back there, but it seemed fine. I'm really puzzled! The speakers are fine, the connections seem to be fine, could I be missing an amp somewhere, or could it be a bad connection behind the radio? Please help! Keep in mind that I'm relatively new to this sort of thing.

Maybe instead of checking yourself, you should bring it to the dealer and have them check it for you...
