99 Golf- Problems with driver door lock
Hello,
I'm having problems with my driver side door. It won't lock with my remote nor even when I push down the door lock manual. Does anyone else with the 99 model having the same problems and know how to fix it? Do I need to take it the dealership to get it fixed (I would really like to avoid if I can)? Thx.

Sounds like the door latch assembly is faulty or stuck. Replace it
