Would this be a good Drift car? 4 sale
My friend is thinking of selling his rare convertable '88 Wide Body RX7 ... built by Design Energy in Santa Barbara, CA.
It use to have about 450 HP, with a Garret TO4 turbo, HKS managment ... but he had to go to a referee ... and had to convert it back to a factory turbo ... so now it only has 250 hp. It could always go back to it's previous form ... :-) 315/35/17 Yoko AV1's in the back ... 255/40/17's in the front. Can anyone give us an idea what a car like this would be worth ... Could it be suitable for drifting? Any other forums to get this info? ![]() ![]() thanks! |

Re: Would this be a good Drift car? 4 sale
Very suitable for drift... only it's got a convertible which many people probably don't want cus it's not as rigid as the hard-top! Nothing a roll-bar can not fix though. A few people in Japan drift the conv. Throw one on (roll-bar) and you can probably sell it anywhere from $4,000 to $7 (maybe), depending on condition and mods. But since you took out all mods you can probably get $3,000 or so! Nice car though!

I might be interested, are the fenders plastic stick-ons? and why do they have a matte finish? they don't shine like the bonnet.

The wheels are Compomotive ...
btw. this car only has about 15,000 miles on it ... the body work needs to be polished and waxed ... it's spent a lot of time out side ... the owner has a bunch of other cars ... |

that convertible top shit is BS.... I have seen plenty ofFCs and slivias with converts drift....and if it bothers u that much u can put on of the bars across the open area.

A lick of paint and that would be a sweet drift car.
What's wrong with convertibles anyway?

well first of all this thread is a month old, and second of all convertables are less rigid so they don't drift all that great, and third of all the guy that started this thread doesn't even post hear anymore, he only posted twice!
