Service 4WD fix
A search of the forum showed that the dash switch was the problem and a $50 part from the dealer. Popped mine out and opened it up, bad solder joints on the connector pins, all of them, a wonder it worked at all! Resoldered the connections and replaced the switch in the dash, probably took 10 minutes and now it works and the service light is out! Just wanted to pass on my findings for the next person searching for the fix.

Re: Service 4WD fix
I just did the same thing to my Z71 and it works like a charm. Glad I didn't pay someone $120.00 plus parts to fix it like my buddy did.
