87 325is Accelaration problems

i have a 87 325is with close to 200k. it has been running great till we got a cold night about a month ago. now it is hard to start when it has been sitting over night. also when you step on the gas with any force it chokes like it wants to stall. with the cluch in i can slowlly bring the rpm's up and then let off the cluch and go. if i keep the rpm's up i can get it to drive ok but if i punch it it still chokes and acts like its flooding out and bmw's are spose to run not crawl. there are new plugs and the wires are about a year old other then that i have only had her for about 8 months.
any help would be great.
