95 Blazer

First Thanks for the information you supply. My 95 Blazer will turn over but is hard starting unless I turn the key on and leave it there for 3-5seconds then it starts first time. This only happens after it sit over night or in the parking lot at work for 8-9 hours. After first start it starts first try. We changed the relay as was suggested, didn't help. Since it does start and runs well, don't thing it's the fuel pump. Any other suggestions? Blazergal

Re: 95 Blazer

It accually might be the fuel pump. Or you have a REALLY resticted fuel filter.

Before you do that, pull your upper plenum and check for signs of washing. (since it's a 95, ill assume you have CPI. Washing means one side is cleaner than the other) IF the passenger side is washed, you have a bad cpi, if the drivers side is washed, you have a bad nut kit. Either one of these can cause these symptoms. Also you might want to pull and clean the egr with carb cleaner and a stiff wire brush...(make sure the pintle is free flowing)
