b17a1 question

Hey eveyone,
My friend is selling a b17a1 vtec engine.

Okay here is the deal. It comes with engine, 5spd transmission, ecu, wiring harness(uncut), shift linkage, and all atached componets(i.e. Starter, alternator, etc.) They only catch is that this engine has almost 200k on it.

I know its a lot but i know the guy who is selling it on ebay, hes my friend and i know that it was not drivin like a race car, they were all hwy miles. Im thinking if i can snag it for a couple hundred, and do some work on it it will be a good deal in the end.

I know the miles are high but hey its a honda, plus i plan on rebuilding the internals if i got it.

I would like eveyones input on it. And what do you think would be a fair price to pay for it?

With all the stuff I would pay like $1600, but its worth way more than that.

Sounds like a great deal to me...
Buy the engine and then have it completely rebuilt... bam... brand new engine. Also if the transmission that is the original transmission from the 93 GSR the B17a cam from, it's one of the best geared honda transmissions you can buy (similiar to Type R gearing).

If you can pick it up for a couple hundred with all that, you can rebuild it for a few more, have it bored out a little, put in new internals and have a much better setup than any stock motor. That all depends on how much "a couple hundred" is!

Okay no its going for like 500+, im gonna try to snag it for a little more. I hope but oh well.
