Re: car wont start

extreme cold can discharge a battery to the extent that a jump wont help you need a charger.

Re: car wont start

Check the battery terminators for looseness and corrosion. Give it a whack or 2 using something blunt and hard. If jump starting does not work. Make sure that the car you are using has the same voltage (V) and current (A) rating.
It also might be your battery, mine died yesterday after months of having to jump it and charge it.

Get your new battery at walmart instead of a dealer. It'll come with a 1 to 3 year warranty and only cost $30 to $60.

Try checking your battery, it might have some dead cells already. If the battery is maintenance free buy a new one. The probable reason why your in dash lights go dim when braking is that the battery is no longer in its normal operating current and voltage, when you hit the brake pedal the battery supplies energy to your brake lights decreasing the energy supplied to your in dash lights.
