Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

what do you think looks better, flip up lights or fixed lights?

imo i think that fixed lights look the best. i think that fixed lights look good cuz it give you a break from one color through the whole hood and front. plus, when flip lights are up, they look sooo goofy.

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

I vote Flip-Up, mainly because I think w/ the right car, sleepyeye light mod is the most sexiest thing. Just my opinion tho, lots of nice cars tho w/ fixed lights

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

Man, now that the Ferrari 456 and C5 Vette are gone, the pop up lights are officially dead And I always though they looked wicked. But fixed lights are clearly the way of the future.

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

I think that there is room in the world for both. Personally I prefer fixed lights though. Always thought that the pop ups on the 4th gen firebird/trans am looked kinda goofy(sorry just my opinion)

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

i think pop up lights look good on a few cars, but for the most part, i like the fixed. plus, pop up lights reduce arodynamics and i do anything to make a car faster.

It all depends on the car. I like pop-ups though, sad to see them go.

I've always preferred fixed lights. However, I like the pop up lights on the F355

Screw them both. I prefer the drop down doors on my GTCs.

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

Well fixed lights are really the best for the car. Offer better arodynamics. Teh popups create drag(loose speed). Although it is not really a noticable amount. But i like the sleep eye look on 240's and stuf. I love them both

i love fixed lights. with flixed lights you can go wild with your imagination on the bulb and projector design. and it can look really elligant. plus for pop ups, they cause drag, and the bulbs are plain, and they weight around 30lbs more compared to the fixed headlight counter part.

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

the 300zx would look soooo weird without fixed lights. and i do agree with tatii about the design of fixed lights, especially with newer cars.

i agree that fixed lights are the way of the future and less worries. There is no mechanism to break and they do weigh less. However with any modifications on a car it depends on which car would look better with which lights. I mean certain cars just simply look better in flip. I personally prefer flip up lights cuz it makes tha caar look more expensive. The mechanism itself is really cool.

Re: Flip Up Lights vs. Fixed Lights

I say fixed lights, I like the smoother look of it. I always thought the last gen RX7 looked better with the fixed light mod rather than pop ups.
