I don't know what you mean? If you want to know if you Jeep has a trouble code it can do a simple flash test. Cycle you ignition, On, Off, On, Off, On, and the check engine light will flash a code. If you get a 5 5 the you are ok. I have know idea if that was something that you were looking for though?

If its a 4.0 I6 it doesnt have a check engine light and the only way to get any codes is to hookup a code reader that is compatible with that year jeep ECM. I have an 89 and its the only way to get anything out of the computer.The 4.0 I6 from 87 thru 90 didnt have a check engine light and most of the prolbems are usually the CPS, TPS, Oxygen senser or the Idle control motor.
