97 LHS is hard to start

I just put new head gaskets on my 97 LHS. 3.5 L. Had the heads reworked, etc. Everything went fine, and it took only 4 seconds to start up the first time, and all I had left over was one blue O-ring from the job...

Problem is...now it ALWAYS takes 4 seconds of cranking to start, hot, cold, whatever. It runs great, smooth as silk, lotsa power, good mileage, etc. But it's slow to start and I'm wondering if the starter motor just isn't spinning it fast enough, or was that O-ring from teh fuel rail causing a lag time in getting fuel to the injectors somehow?

I can't find details on how to reassemble the rails. They're not leaking, car seems fine otherwise, but I wonder if it's fuel delivery on startup that's making it slow to start. How might i diagnose this? I'm a skilled amatuer, but have no fancy diagnostic equipment.

I have the same problem on my 96 LHS. It takes about 4 seconds to start. It runs great once started. Did you ever find a solution to this problem??

No, I haven't found the solution yet, but honestly was not really looking till I found some help here, which hasn't happened yet, obviously. Have you been to a mechanic or shop? Have you dumped your codes (using the info in a service manual and the ignition key and dashboard method)?
