resurrecting an old project

long time no post so here goes... my goal is to clear out some room for new kits so i'm resurrecting 'old' projects and trying to finish them off... this time its the fto. i finally got around to cleaning it up and putting some color on it. just finished polishing it last night but there are still some tiny areas that need attention... not much but i'd like to get it just the way i want it before i go any further.

the suspension was a pain to get right. i had to cut out each wheel well and add a total of 2mm on each well to make room for the wheels. the suspension pieces were also modified by adding 1mm to adjust the height too. i decided to use male wheels on this kit so i had to modifiy the hub pieces to accept male wheels. i used the v1 polycap pieces from the fto kit and enclosed them in styrene rod and glued them on the hubs. this also gives me freedom to adjust the offset of the wheels when fitting them on. i also put on a set of brembo brakes as the kit one do not fit any longer due to these adjustments.

i hope to finish this one in the next couple of months... i'm also trying imagestation so i decided to post these up using their web hosting to see how it works... so if the pics don't come up... sorry...

a.

It looks so understated for having such radical body modifications.

I love it.
