Removal of inner door panel?

I have a '94 GEO metro, I need to open up the doors to do some repair work, the driver door lock does not work, and I would like to grease up the windows. I have a Hanes Manual, but it just says to undo the screws in the handle. BUT THERE IS NO SCREWS! Its a clip-on type cover. I don't know how to un-clip them with out breaking it.

Any-one help out? TIA

theres a fork style tool you can buy for a couple of bucks to remove the clips without breaking them I bought mine for 2.88 canadian at princess auto.

my 96 sedan has the door handle and the pull handle. there are 2 screws on the pull handle an one on the door handle bezel(bezel is the plastic cover thing). on the pull handle there are two caps on the bottom and top of the hannle, they come off with a flathead screwdriver. the bezel for the door handle comes off with that one screw then you have to pull the handle and wiggle the bezel toward the back of the car, then it sould unhook and come out toward the front of the car. then get a peice of cloth and slide it side to side bwtn the window crank and the crank spacer until a little metal clip pops loose, then the crank should come off. Then just pop the flat clip removing tool btwn the panel and the metal of the door and slide it side to side around the edges to find the clips and pop them out.

i had to fix my window once, me and my dad ended up breaking half the door panel crap. oh well, its not like its a show car....lol

You will break the fasteners no matter what. The plastic is just too brittle, and no matter what you do you will be buying some aftermarlet clips- that is my experience. A butter knife is good for prying stuff off.

BTW- I have found a lot of inaccuracies in terms of the body section of the Haynes manual- seems to be more revelant for Swift.
