1997 Metro will not start

This is a stumper. My friends metro will not start for anything. It turns over just fine. When I spray starting fluid into the intake, it starts right up. When it runs out of starting fluid it dies. Obviusly it is a fuel delivery problem. So, I cracked the banjo bolt that attached the fuel supply line to the throttle body and turn the key to run position. It sprays fuel everywhere. I cannot see fuel coming out of the injector when it is being turned over. I checked the resistance of the injector. It was about 5 ohms. I do not know if that is good or bad cause I have no specifications. I also get no readable signal to the injector when I crank it over. I check the injector resistor I cannot remeber what it reads, but it has continuity. I checked all the wiring, it seems tight and undamaged. I am going to try to find some information on retriving trouble codes from the computer. I am not sure if there are any, as I cannot get the engine to a permanent runnging state to find out. So, if anyone knows anything, every bit helps. Thanks.

I checked the engine computer for codes. All I got was Air Intake Temp readings out of range. It turns out someone clipped the wiring harness connector off. So I rigged it the harness into the sensor for a temp fix until I can get to the wrecking yard to get another connetor. I reset the trouble codes and went for another reading. No problems. I am banging my head on the wall on this one. Has anyone had fuel injectors so badly clogged they would not spray fuel. Perhaps the problem is an intermitent wiring issue. I have narrowed it down, but I do not want to tear into the wiring. Another possiblity, does anyone have one of those security systems that requires the key chain device be passed by it to allow the engine to start? If so, how intimately is it tied into the engine system? Thanks again. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

A new intake at the wreckers should be pretty cheap, and easy to put on
