My 92 metro will not start. It has spark to the plugs and is getting gas. It will turn over but will not fire. Any suggestions??

Re: metro will not start
Remove the distributor cap with wires and hang it up out of the way. Have some one crank the engine while you look at the rotor inside the distributor. If the rotor does not turn, your timing belt is broken. Jim

If he's getting spark to the plugs, his timing belt should be ok, because the distributor is doin it's job. Sounds more on the lines of the timing is off, or you aren't getting enough fuel pressure. If you have a timing light, make sure your timing is ok. Your belt may have skipped a tooth, or is stripping.

Re: metro will not start
Since he said it "will turn over", I would think the starter is working. Jim
